Research into Devices for administering Fertility Treatments
As a consequence of this technological
breakthrough in the treatment of chronic diseases and growth
hormone deficiency, pen devices were identified for testing with a
view to fertility treatments. The results of these tests, which had
a significant impact in the development of the pre-filled pen,
revealed that, for the group of patients tested, the ideal delivery
device would:
- Have the fewest possible steps to learn: as
patients only undertake treatment for a short period
- Be pre-filled: as this requires minimum
preparation
Have a transparent cartridge: through which the actual dose
could be seen and monitored
Prefilled Pen devices therefore represent the
ultimate technological breakthrough as far as ease of use and
accuracy of dosing is concerned.
