Syringe and Ampoule

Some FSH preparations are presented in ampoules (small, sealed glass vessels), which contain the medication in predetermined quantities. The patient is required to first mix the FSH preparation (powder) with diluent, and application is by self-injection using a syringe. 


Equipment

  • Ampoules of powder
  • Ampoule of solvent (sterile water) for dissolving powder
  • Disposable syringe
    • Drawing up needle for mixing
    • Injection needle  

  • Alcohol swabs and gauze
  • Ampoule snapper
  • Ampoule workstation
  • Sharps container
