Pre-filled Pens
Ease of Use, Accuracy and Consistency of
Delivery
The pre-filled pen is the latest
innovation for administering FSH treatments.
The pre-filled pen does not need reconstitution or cartridge
assembly, thereby reducing the number of steps before injection. As
the Bourn Hall research indicated, this is an essential aspect of
the procedure as it provides reassurance to the patient that they
are injecting an accurate and correct dose. Pre-filled pens allow
individualised dosing in both Ovulation Induction (OI) and Assisted
Reproductive Technology (ART).
The pre-filled pen promotes accurate dosing and ease of use by
having:
- Reduced number of steps before
injection
- No cartridge assembly
- A clear and visible dosing scale
- A dosage control scale so that patients can
double check the set dose
- Transparent reservoir so that patients can
see that they have injected the full dose
- The facility to re-dial before the injection
button is pulled out

- Pre-filled pen
- Single use disposable needles
- Alcohol swabs
- Sharps container
N.B. The pen can be stored at room temperature
(no higher than 25ºC) between injections.
