And Now The Good News

Scientific advances over the past three decades have helped millions of men and women overcome problems with fertility. Treatments ranging from recombinant drugs to advanced procedures are achieving unprecedented success (see Treatment section of this site). So if you, or your partner, are concerned about fertility, there is good reason to talk to a doctor, find out if there's a problem, and investigate possible solutions. Depending on the underlying cause, many relatively simple and affordable procedures are available.

A good way to start is by talking to your doctor or fertility specialist (obstetrician / gynecologist or urologist) about your questions and concerns. You may also consider seeing a fertility specialist such as a reproductive endocrinologist or an andrologist, many of whom treat patients through specialized fertility clinics. However you choose to proceed, a medical professional can help you decide what course of action is best for you.
